Colonel Kurzen

Before his downfall, Colonel Conrad Kurzen was regarded in Stormwind as an exceptionally capable and noble officer. Trusted by the kingdom's leadership, he was granted command of an expeditionary unit dispatched south into the dense jungles of Stranglethorn Vale. However, deep within the humid wilds, Kurzen began to exhibit erratic behavior and extreme megalomania, declaring absolute sovereignty over the surrounding wilderness and abandoning his allegiance to Stormwind.

Kurzen's sudden transformation divided his ranks. While many soldiers succumbed to blind loyalty or twisted zealotry, others grew appalled by his madness and brutality—including his act of throwing Emerine Junis into the compound's prison simply for spurning his advances. Led by Lieutenant Doren, a group of conscience-stricken soldiers broke away to establish the Rebel Camp along the northern road. These loyalist defectors now wage a desperate war against Kurzen to stop his rampaging force.
