Kurzen's Compound

What began as an official expedition into the untamed jungles of Stranglethorn turned into a nightmare when Colonel Kurzen lost his mind. Rather than fulfilling Stormwind's mission, the garrison broke away from the kingdom's authority, cutting ties with the crown and descending into tyranny. Today, the compound operates like a mercenary stronghold, complete with a functional lumber mill, stables for training captured Stranglethorn panthers and tigers as weapons of war, and an extensive cave complex known as the Stockpile where the rogue soldiers stash their plundered supplies.

Not all of the expedition's original members followed their commander into savagery. When Kurzen's madness took hold, a faction of his men mutinied and fled west to form the Rebel Camp, sparking a bitter and bloody feud within the dense canopy. From their fortified compound, Kurzen and his loyal men ruthlessly hunt down the deserters, treating any outsider who steps into their jungle domain as an enemy of the expedition.
