Booty Bay
Booty Bay is a sprawling pirate haven built into the sheer sea cliffs of southern Stranglethorn Vale, operated by the Steamwheedle Cartel's Blackwater Raiders. Entered by land through the gaping jaws of a giant shark carcass, it serves as a fiercely enforced neutral port where Alliance and Horde mingle under the watchful eyes of heavily armed goblin bruisers.
A Den of Scoundrels and Profit
Originally known as Blackwater Cove when it was a human settlement later overrun by jungle trolls, the bay was eventually captured by the goblins of the Steamwheedle Cartel. Today, it is an international crossroads and a haven for scoundrels, outcasts, and merchants alike. Overseen by Baron Revilgaz alongside Fleet Master Seahorn from the balconies of the Salty Sailor Tavern, the port is ostensibly lawless yet strictly managed: anyone may drink, trade, or hire mercenaries here, provided they obey the cartel's peace and pay their harbor fees.
Threats on the Water
Booty Bay's bustling docks connect the Eastern Kingdoms directly to Ratchet across the Great Sea, making it a critical hub for trade and cross-continental travel. However, its immense wealth attracts relentless hostility. The town's primary nemesis is the Bloodsail Buccaneers, an aggressive pirate fleet that constantly raids Blackwater shipping, roams the Stranglethorn coastline, and actively plots the total destruction and plunder of the goblin port.
