Onyxia's Lair
Onyxia's Lair is a subterranean cavern located deep within the Wyrmbog of Dustwallow Marsh. It serves as the nesting sanctuary and stronghold for Onyxia, broodmother of the black dragonflight. Inside its sweltering, magma-filled chambers, the great dragon watches over clutches of black dragon eggs.
A Den of Magma and Ruin
Carved into the treacherous mud and petrified wood of the Wyrmbog, the cavern entrance resembles the yawning maw of a dragon. Within, the cool rot of the marsh gives way to intense volcanic heat. Magma seeps from cracks in the obsidian stone, while subterranean tremors routinely shake the ceilings. The central chamber opens into a vast incubator where hundreds of black dragon eggs lie nested amid ash and embers, overseen by flightkin, dragonspawn guards, and Onyxia herself.
