Nijel's Point

Carved into the sheer cliffs bordering the Stonetalon Mountains, Nijel's Point stands well above the gray dust and marauding centaur packs of Desolace. The settlement is held by a detachment of the Stormwind Army under Captain Pentigast, charged with monitoring the violent clan wars that threaten Alliance interests across southern Kalimdor. Its high elevation and narrow access trails make it readily defensible, providing a secure staging ground for couriers, scouts, and griffin riders travelling between Stonetalon Peak, Theramore, and Feathermoon Stronghold.

Beyond the Stormwind garrison, the outpost shelters emissaries with distinct and perilous agendas. Keeper Marandis and his dryads use the camp as an operational base to confront Princess Theradras deep within Maraudon, seeking to recover the fallen demigod Zaetar. Even the Scarlet Crusade maintains an emissary here in Brother Anton, who seeks to scour the undead ravaging the valley floor. Despite the bustling presence of soldiers and druids, the identity of Nijel himself remains an ancient mystery lost even to those garrisoned atop the ridge.
