Grommash Hold

Grommash Hold is the fortified seat of Warchief Thrall, nestled high in the red cliffs of the Valley of Wisdom in Orgrimmar. Named in honor of Grommash Hellscream's sacrifice, the fortress serves as the command center and political heart of the new Horde.

Perched within the tranquil Valley of Wisdom, Grommash Hold serves as the royal court and strategic sanctum of the Horde. Built into the towering canyon walls, its thick stone interior remains notably dim and chilly—a deliberate choice by Warchief Thrall to keep emissaries, petitioners, and warlords sharp and sober during audiences. Here, Thrall deliberates on the defense of Kalimdor, guided by veteran counselors like Eitrigg and visited by racial chieftains such as Vol'jin.
