Echo Isles

The Echo Isles are a cluster of tropical islands lying just off the southeastern coast of Durotar. Originally settled by the Darkspear trolls after fleeing their ancestral islands, the archipelago is currently lost to the rogue witch doctor Zalazane, who drove his people into exile with dark magic and enslaved minions.

Following their flight across the Great Sea alongside Thrall, the Darkspear tribe claimed the Echo Isles as their new home. Their peace was repeatedly shattered: first by the naval forces of Grand Admiral Daelin Proudmoore during Kul Tiras' invasion of Durotar, and later from within. Shortly after the trolls drove back Proudmoore's fleet, one of their own witch doctors, Zalazane, seized dark arts to enslave the minds of his kin. Chieftain Vol'jin and the free Darkspears were forced to abandon the islands once more, seeking temporary refuge across the narrow strait at Sen'jin Village.
