Kul Tiras
Kul Tiras is an insular maritime human kingdom situated on an island archipelago in the Great Sea, west of Dun Morogh and Baradin Bay. Renowned for possessing the mightiest navy in Azeroth, it served as a cornerstone of the Alliance of Lordaeron during the Second War under Grand Admiral Daelin Proudmoore. Following the fracturing of the old Alliance and tragic losses in Kalimdor, the island realm has largely receded into isolated waters.
A Nation Born of the Sea
Kul Tiras blossomed into an unmatched seafaring power, sustained by an industrious merchant marine, rich fishing grounds, and a naval armada without peer in human history.
The Second War and Isolation
When the Orcish Horde swept through the Eastern Kingdoms, Kul Tiras answered the call of King Terenas Menethil II and committed its armada to the Alliance of Lordaeron. Lord Admiral Daelin Proudmoore commanded the naval forces of humanity, waging bloody warfare across the open ocean to sever the Horde's sea lanes and protect coastal shores. However, following the war's conclusion and the eventual splintering of the northern kingdoms, Kul Tiras pulled back its fleets, withdrawing into heavy coastal defense and quiet insularity.
