Blackfathom Deeps
Blackfathom Deeps is a flooded subterranean temple ruin buried beneath the Zoram Strand along Ashenvale's northwestern coast. Once a glorious house of worship dedicated to the moon goddess Elune, its drowned halls have been overtaken by naga, satyr, and the sinister Twilight's Hammer cult.
From Elune's Temple to Darkest Abyss
Before the Great Sundering shattered ancient Kalimdor ten thousand years ago, this complex was a temple dedicated to the goddess Elune, complete with its own moonwell. When the Well of Eternity collapsed, the shrine sank beneath the ocean waves, presumed lost forever. Over millennia, receding shorelines and subterranean shifting left its remains partly flooded beneath the cliffs of Ashenvale.
