Orphan Matron Nightingale
Orphan Matron Nightingale oversees the Stormwind Orphanage located in Cathedral Square. Alongside Matron Shellene, she cares for children who have lost their families to the relentless conflicts troubling the kingdom. She also enlists trusted Alliance adventurers to mentor and inspire her young wards during Children's Week.
Guardian of the Displaced
Standing watch just outside the orphanage south-east of the Cathedral of Light, Orphan Matron Nightingale tends to Stormwind's most vulnerable survivors. Recent wars, gnoll rampages, and the rise of the Defias Brotherhood have left many children without homes or parents. Nightingale and her fellow caretaker, Matron Shellene, provide these youngsters shelter, basic care, and guidance beneath the watchful eye of the Church of the Holy Light.
Children's Week Patron
Believing that hope is as vital as food and shelter, Matron Nightingale organizes Stormwind's Children's Week celebrations. During this time, she appeals directly to Alliance heroes to chaperone an orphan on travels across Azeroth. By pairing these children with celebrated champions, she hopes to instill confidence, grant them a broader view of the world outside the city walls, and remind them that they are never truly forgotten.
