Filled Tainted Ooze Jar

A Filled Tainted Ooze Jar contains viscous, tainted ooze scooped directly from the remains of oozes wandering the corrupted forests of Felwood. Secured in specialized containment jars, these samples are brought to Ironforge to support radical theories regarding the origin of life on Azeroth.

Slime of the Corrupted Wood

The tainted oozes roaming northern Kalimdor carry the deep, lingering corruption of Felwood. Harvesting them requires careful containment using jars provided by gnomish researchers. While most travelers avoid the noxious creatures entirely, collecting these samples provides rare material for natural philosophy and biological study far from the blighted forests.

Geardawdle's Grand Theory

The samples are gathered on behalf of Laris Geardawdle, an ambitious gnome scholar stationed with the Explorers' League in Ironforge. Geardawdle is fascinated by the ubiquitous nature of slimes and noticed that the Forsaken's Royal Apothecary Society has also been taking an active interest in them. Defying popular academic skepticism, he theorizes that slimes and oozes may be primal secretions tied to the very creation of Azeroth itself. Securing these samples is his attempt to prove his standing among dwarven scholars following the tragic fall of Gnomeregan.
