House of Nobles
The House of Nobles is the hereditary aristocratic council that helps administer the kingdom of Stormwind from Stormwind Keep. Holding immense leverage over regional land, taxation, and trade, their refusal to pay the rebuilt city's laborers ignited the bloody riots that ultimately shook the realm and birthed the shadowy threat known as the Defias Brotherhood.
Aristocrats of the Realm
Composed of Stormwind's most powerful patrician bloodlines, the House of Nobles serves as the primary advisory body to the Crown. Because the aristocracy owns the majority of the arable land throughout Elwynn, Westfall, and Duskwood, they wield outsized authority over commerce, regional magistrates, and royal decrees. While the boy-king Anduin Wrynn and Highlord Bolvar Fordragon officially rule the kingdom, the council routinely ties the throne's hands in red tape, asserting the power to stall trials, block executions, and meddle in provincial administration.
