Tidefury Cove
Tidefury Cove is a treacherous stretch of water and rocky shallows along the southeastern coast of Dustwallow Marsh, south of Theramore Isle. Renowned for its hazardous reefs and wrecked vessels, it serves as a secluded haven for roaming makrura and solitary anglers.
A Graveyard of Ships and Reefs
Tucked away at the far end of Dustwallow Bay between Theramore Isle and the Wyrmbog, Tidefury Cove presents a notorious navigational hazard to passing sailors. Jagged reefs and shifting shoals have claimed multiple vessels over the years, leaving rotting wooden hulks half-submerged in the tideline. Today, the ruined ships are crawled over by opportunistic makrura, turning the cove into a dangerous, isolated stretch of coastline visited mostly by hardy scavengers or quiet hermits seeking distance from Theramore's busy docks.
The Historic Foothold
During the invasion of Durotar, the shores of Tidefury Cove became a crucial strategic battleground. Admiral Daelin Proudmoore's Kul Tiran expedition fortified the coast with an imposing coastal fortress and guard towers to command the approaches to Theramore. To break Proudmoore's grip, Thrall marshaled the combined strength of the young Horde—uniting orcs, Darkspear trolls, and tauren alongside Rexxar and the Stonemaul ogres—to storm the shoreline and dismantle the Kul Tiran beachhead before pressing directly toward the island fortress.
