Temple of the Moon

The Temple of the Moon stands in Darnassus as the spiritual heart of the night elven people and the seat of government on Teldrassil. Presided over by High Priestess Tyrande Whisperwind, the sanctuary serves as the headquarters for the Sisterhood of Elune. Its towering marble tiers house a sacred moonwell whose blessed waters bring healing and communion with the Moon Goddess.

Erected shortly after the Third War when the night elves settled Teldrassil, the Temple of the Moon is among the largest stone structures constructed by modern kaldorei hands. Much of its marble was quarried from the Kalimdor mainland and transported across the sea through magical means. At the center of its interior lies an expansive moonwell overseen by the statue of Haidene, where consecrated waters radiate quiet power. Beyond serving as a place of worship and quiet reflection for pilgrims, the temple functions as the political apex of Darnassus, housing High Priestess Tyrande Whisperwind as she guides her people through the dawn of a uncertain new age.
