Sanctum (Stromgarde Keep)

While much of Stromgarde Keep has fallen to Syndicate infiltrators and the Boulderfist ogres, the Sanctum and its adjacent chapel have remained under the fierce protection of the surviving Stromgarde defenders. Located behind the house of worship, the Sanctum borders the citadel's graveyard and marks the threshold to the royal crypt where the kings of Stromgarde rest. For the battered loyalists rallying around Prince Galen Trollbane, holding this hallowed ground represents more than a tactical foothold; it is a desperate fight to keep their kingdom's ancestral heritage and faith from being trampled by invaders.

Beneath the stone flags of the Sanctum lies the passage into the royal tomb. The ground here is consecrated, intended as a place of peaceful reflection and worship of the Holy Light. In the wake of King Thoras Trollbane's murder and the kingdom's subsequent collapse, the Sanctum has instead become a defensive retreat.
