Crypt (Stromgarde Keep)
Deep within the ruins of Stromgarde Keep lies the royal crypt, situated past the sanctum chapel in the heart of the district held by the surviving Stromgarde defenders. It holds the tomb of the fallen King Thoras Trollbane and the ancestral treasures of his dynasty. Guarded closely by Prince Galen and faithful caretakers, the vault remains a sanctuary of royal honor amid a shattered kingdom.
The Tomb of Thoras Trollbane
Hidden beneath the Sanctum of Stromgarde Keep, this subterranean burial vault serves as the final resting place of King Thoras Trollbane, the warrior monarch who led Stromgarde through the Second War. Despite the devastation engulfing the city—split among Syndicate rogues and Boulderfist ogres—the remaining Stromgarde militia fiercely maintains their grip on this quarter. Prince Galen Trollbane personally watches over the crypts alongside dedicated royal caretakers, ensuring his father's body and legacy remain undisturbed by the scavengers and enemies outside.
The Vault of Trol'kalar
Beyond housing the royal dead, the crypt safeguards prized artifacts belonging to the Trollbane lineage. Chief among these relics is Trol'kalar, the ancient runed greatsword forged centuries ago to slay trolls. Entrusted to the sworn protection of caretakers such as Alaric, Nevlin, and Weston, the chamber and its treasures are secured with powerful safeguards. Galen and his loyalists guard the tomb relentlessly, well aware that rival factions and hostile trolls across Arathi would covet the blade's ancient power.
