Ruined Reaches
The Ruined Reaches comprise the treacherous southern coastline of Azshara near the border with Durotar. Marked by crumbling ancient ruins, shattered shipwrecks, and jagged shallows, these beaches are overrun by aggressive shoreline predators. Amid the desolation, a small gnomish outpost perches high on a cliffside above the surf.
A Battered Coast
Stretching along the southern borders of Azshara just north of Durotar, the Ruined Reaches are a maze of rocky inlets, cliff faces, and debris-strewn sand. Like the Jagged Reef further north, hidden shallows make maritime travel extremely hazardous, leaving numerous ruined vessels broken along the shore. The waters and beaches teem with hostile wildlife, including territorial murlocs, vicious hydras, and armored makrura, making overland transit just as dangerous as navigating the surf.
The Gadgetspring Outpost
Perched upon a western cliff overlooking the beaches sits an unexpected pocket of tinker civilization: a gnomish workshop accessible via a steep trail from Azshara's mainland. Run by Blimo and Jubie Gadgetspring, this outpost offers engineering components and general trade goods to passing adventurers. The interior features an elevator ascending to private quarters with three beds, though who—if anyone—claims the third bunk remains a quiet domestic mystery.
