Horizon Scout

Resting beneath the waves among the treacherous shoals of the Ruined Reaches, the Horizon Scout met a violent end off Azshara's jagged coast. While Captain Vanessa Beltis managed to reach land on a nearby peninsula, a portion of the crew went down with the hull. Miraculously, the survivors inside have not drowned; a gnome named Roland Geardabbler maintains a sustained magical bubble of water breathing that preserves them within the wreckage. Surrounded by hostile aquatic predators and predatory naga, the remaining sailors wait in the dark forward compartments, unable to surface on their own.

Evidence aboard the ship hints at the sinister forces behind its destruction. In the forward stairwell lies a small shard of raw Azsharite, a mysterious mineral unique to these shores. The Spitelash naga prowling the waters around the Ruined Reaches likely struck the Horizon Scout to plunder whatever artifacts or resources the expedition carried, dragging the vessel down to ensure no survivors could escape with secrets or treasures of the coast.
