Marshal's Refuge
Marshal's Refuge is a precarious, neutral haven tucked into the northern cliffs of Un'Goro Crater. Established by Williden Marshal and his expedition party, it serves as an emergency redoubt after the basin's primeval beasts routed their lower camps.
A Precarious Perch
When Williden and Hol'anyee Marshal led their expedition into Un'Goro Crater, they drastically underestimated the ferocity of its prehistoric denizens. After their initial base camps were repeatedly overrun by rampaging beasts, the battered survivors scrambled up into the cavernous northern cliffside to escape slaughter. Re-established as Marshal's Refuge, the camp clings high above the jungle floor, offering the only stable resting ground, basic supplies, and flight masters for weary explorers in the northern crater.
A Crossroads of Curiosity
Because Un'Goro Crater contains ancient biological wonders and mysterious crystal formations, Marshal's Refuge attracts a motley band of researchers, fortune seekers, and eccentric wanderers. Naturalists from many lands, including dwarven scholars and gnomish tinkers, share the crowded ledge alongside the surviving Marshal crew. From here, scouts strike out toward volcanic summits like Fire Plume Ridge or bubbling landmarks like the Golakka Hot Springs, hoping to catalog the primordial wilderness before it consumes them.
