Lakkari Tar Pits

The Lakkari Tar Pits dominate the low ground of northern Un'Goro Crater, directly south of Marshal's Refuge. Thick, reeking pools of pitch entrap anything careless enough to step into them, quickly bogging down beasts and adventurers alike. The protruding bones of hundreds of prehistoric creatures break the black surface, bearing witness to generations of animals sucked into the mire. Opportunistic scavengers circle the margins waiting for trapped prey to exhaust itself, while living tar beasts, lurkers, and creepers rise directly from the muck to batter interlopers.
