Williden Marshal

Williden Marshal brought an entire scientific expedition deep into Un'Goro Crater seeking fortune and discovery. Intrigued by accounts of alien crystals, uncataloged plants, and untapped resources, he established multiple forward camps across the valley floor. However, the primeval wilderness quickly turned against them. The savage beasts of the crater dismantled their research posts, forcing Williden and his survivors to retreat up into the northern cliffs to establish Marshal's Refuge.

Despite being driven to the crater's mountainous edge, Williden refuses to pack up and abandon his investment. From the relative safety of the refuge, he hires passing adventurers to delve back into the savage lowlands to recover lost food crates, expensive scientific instruments, and his personal expedition journal. Though often known simply as 'Wil' to close comrades like Spark Nilminer, he takes the venture seriously—insisting on recovering their work even as titanic predators stalk the valley beneath them.

Williden is not the only Marshal in the crater: Hol'anyee Marshal shares his name and works alongside him at Marshal's Refuge. Together they chose the untamed primeval crater of southern Kalimdor, and Williden remains entirely convinced that Un'Goro's crystal deposits and ancient mysteries hold the true fortune.
