Feathermoon Stronghold (Classic)
Feathermoon Stronghold is a fortified night elf bastion situated on Sardor Isle off the western shores of Feralas. Established by General Shandris Feathermoon, it serves as the Alliance's primary staging ground and military anchor in southern Kalimdor.
Sentinel Bastion of the South
Perched on Sardor Isle just off the Forgotten Coast, Feathermoon Stronghold stands as a crucial bulwark for the Night Elves and the broader Alliance. Built under the direction of General Shandris Feathermoon—Tyrande Whisperwind's trusted lieutenant for ten millennia—the fortress projects Sentinel power deep into southern Kalimdor. Its isolated island geography shields it from the beasts, ogres, and Horde interlopers prowling the primeval jungles of mainland Feralas.
Lifeline Across the Waves
Given its insular position, Feathermoon relies heavily on sea and air links to maintain logistics. A small passenger boat regularly shuttles travellers across the channel between Sardor Isle and the Forgotten Coast dock. For distant travel, a dedicated hippogryph roost ties the stronghold directly to major Alliance hubs, including Thalanaar on the Thousand Needles border, Nijel's Point in the Desolace highlands, and Auberdine in the north.
