Faol's Rest

The story

Faol's Rest is a quiet, neglected gravesite situated in eastern Tirisfal Glades, just southwest of the Scarlet Monastery. It was erected as the tomb of Archbishop Alonsus Faol, the revered spiritual patriarch who founded the Knights of the Silver Hand. Today, untended beneath the blighted canopy, it serves as a release graveyard for those who perish near the monastery.

Before the Third War devastated Lordaeron, this secluded hollow was a place of solemn pilgrimage. It holds the stone tomb of Archbishop Alonsus Faol, who led the Church of the Holy Light through the dark days of the Second War and instituted the order of paladins to protect humanity. Faol passed away peacefully prior to the arrival of the Scourge, spared the mortal agony of seeing his kingdom fall. In those brighter years, mourners regularly journeyed up the road from Capital City to leave offerings and pay respects to the beloved patriarch.
