Capital Gardens
The Capital Gardens form the western wing of the ancient elven ruins of Dire Maul in Feralas. Once a serene, manicured park for the Kaldorei nobility, it has withered into a blighted woodland stalked by corrupted ancients, ghosts, and remnants of the Shen'dralar.
A Decayed Sanctuary
Ten millennia ago, Eldre'Thalas stood as one of the shining jewels of the Kaldorei empire. The Capital Gardens served as its outdoor district, lush with enchanted flora and grand marble terraces where Highborne sorcerers debated and relaxed. Following the Great Sundering, the enclave fell on desperate times. Deprived of the Well of Eternity, the resident Shen'dralar turned to dark magic to sustain their immortality, letting the gardens wither away. Today, gray, twisted boughs and corrupted treants fill the broken courtyards, while residual magical corruption prevents the forest from ever truly healing.
