Ambermill

Ambermill is a fortified human settlement in central Silverpine Forest, situated just southwest of Lordamere Lake. Originally a Gilnean lumber village, it is now occupied by surviving wizards and apprentices of Dalaran who are tapping into ancient ley lines. Their presence represents a dangerous outpost of human resistance on the southern borders of the Forsaken realm.

Before the Third War, Ambermill was a quiet lumber town on lands owned by the Gilnean nobleman Darius Crowley. When King Genn Greymane erected the Greymane Wall to seal his kingdom away, Ambermill was left stranded outside alongside Pyrewood Village. In the chaotic aftermath of Lordaeron's fall, the surviving wizards of the Kirin Tor moved in and fortified the settlement. Dalaran spellscribes, conjurors, and apprentices now patrol its buildings and stables, using Ambermill as a forward redoubt against the undead.
