The Barrens Oases
High on the Elder Rise of Thunder Bluff, Arch Druid Hamuul Runetotem senses an unsettling surge of power flowing into the arid soils of the Barrens. To uncover the truth, he dispatches promising travelers eastward past Mulgore's gates to rendezvous with his kinsman, Tonga Runetotem, at the Crossroads. This mission marks the beginning of an investigation into the unnatural waters springing up across the sun-baked plains.
Quest text
The druids of Thunder Bluff sense a strange power leaking into the Barrens, east of Mulgore.
Tonga Runetotem was sent to discover the source of this power, but we fear he will need aid.
Travel to the Barrens and speak with Tonga. He will be at the Crossroads. To reach there, take the road east out of Bloodhoof village. Enter the Barrens, then turn north when the road forks. Continue north and you will find the Crossroads.
And do not leave the road, friend, for the Barrens is a harsh land.
