Mekgineer Thermaplugg
Mekgineer Thermaplugg is the self-proclaimed ruler of ruined Gnomeregan and the greatest traitor in gnomish history. Once the trusted chief advisor of High Tinker Gelbin Mekkatorque, he orchestrated the catastrophic irradiation of the underground city in a twisted bid to seize power. Now thoroughly deranged and transformed into a leper gnome, he commands the irradiated halls from within a massive mechanical battle suit.
A Toxic Ambition
Mekgineer Thermaplugg served for many years as chief advisor to High Tinker Gelbin Mekkatorque, who trusted him completely. All the while, Thermaplugg secretly coveted the office of High Tinker. What finally drove him to betray that trust, whether power or wealth, not even Mekkatorque can say; the High Tinker can only note that Thermaplugg would have had both in time.
