Nathanos Blightcaller

Before the Third War, Nathanos Marris was an extraordinary marksman and tactical genius hailing from the rural outskirts of Lordaeron. Trained by the high elves of Quel'Thalas and close to Sylvanas Windrunner, he became the only human to ever attain the prestigious rank of Ranger Lord. His home remained the family estate in Lordaeron, the Marris Stead.

When Prince Arthas and the Scourge swept through Lordaeron following the purge of Stratholme, the plague consumed the kingdom. Nathanos made a desperate stand at his estate, but fell to the monstrous abomination Ramstein the Gorger. Raised as a mindless undead thrall, he roamed the blighted fields killing in the Lich King's name. After Sylvanas shattered the Scourge's mental grip and established the Forsaken in the Undercity, she came for him, as he had somehow known she would, and tore his consciousness free from the Lich King's will, returning his tactical brilliance and fiery loyalty to her side.
