Archaeologist Flagongut
Archaeologist Flagongut is a dwarven scholar representing the Explorers' League, stationed within the Deepwater Tavern at Menethil Harbor. Though originally en route to the local dig at the Whelgar Excavation Site, he becomes an important contact for field reports traveling across the sea from Darkshore.
A Scholar in Port
Archaeologist Flagongut can be found resting with a mug in hand at the Deepwater Tavern in Menethil Harbor. Like many members of Ironforge's Explorers' League, he traveled west across Khaz Modan aiming to assist with discoveries near the Whelgar Excavation Site in the Wetlands. Despite being far from the high halls of the library, he maintains vital ties with field researchers, helping process lost relics and reports ferried across the Great Sea from remote expeditions.
Ties to the Field
Dwarven curiosity is rarely confined to one continent. When the mysterious fossil that the absent-minded Prospector Remtravel unearthed in Darkshore is sent on to him by Chief Archaeologist Greywhisker in Darnassus, Flagongut is amazed: he once brought a fossil much like it to the Explorers' League's annual conference in Ironforge, convinced it held a power that could somehow be unlocked.
