Large Candle

Kobolds tunneling beneath Elwynn Forest depend upon candle flame to navigate pitch-black subterranean shafts, affixing wax tapers directly to their heads. Kobold Miners, Tunnelers, and Geomancers defend their candles fiercely against interlopers. Despite their crude manufacture, the large candles carried deep inside Fargodeep Mine and Jasperlode Mine contain valuable wax that surface tradesmen cannot easily produce in bulk, turning an everyday monster tool into an alchemical commodity.

William Pestle, an apothecary operative hailing from Stormwind City, gathers these oversized candles at the Lion's Pride Inn in Goldshire. Seeking rendered wax for the concoctions, balms, and ointments prepared by his family apothecary, Pestle employs passing adventurers to clear the infested mines and strip the candles from the subterranean invaders.
