When Grand Admiral Daelin Proudmoore led Kul Tiras and Alliance forces to the shores of Durotar, his fleet carried vast supplies of modern equipment, including sophisticated gear manufactured by their gnomish allies. Following the destruction of Proudmoore's fleet along the Scuttle Coast, east of Tiragarde Keep, these delicate mechanical kits sank beneath the waves. Today, waterproof toolboxes remain scattered among the rotting timbers and barnacle-encrusted hulls in the shallows.

Gar'Thok, overseer of Razor Hill, tasked Horde scouts with securing these tools from the watery grave of Proudmoore's navy. The orcs recognize that humans and gnomes possess advanced technical craftsmanship, particularly in siege engines, shipwrighting, and clockwork mechanics. By collecting and dispatching these kits by caravan to the craftsmen and scholars in Orgrimmar, the Horde intends to dissect Alliance contraptions, learn how to counter their war machines, and adapt foreign innovations for their own survival.
