Warrior
Warriors are the quintessential frontline combatants of Azeroth, mastering heavy plate armor, shields, and nearly every form of martial weaponry. Fueling their most devastating strikes with pure combat rage, they charge into the thick of battle to defend weaker allies or carve through enemy ranks. They are found across every race and civilization, serving as everything from stalwart city guards and royal champions to wandering mercenaries.
Masters of Steel and Shield
Warriors rely neither on divine prayers nor arcane incantations. Their power stems entirely from physical endurance, battlefield discipline, and an exhaustive mastery of weaponry. Clad in the heaviest plate mail, they dictate the frontline. Some fight behind towering shields to withstand punishing assaults and draw peril away from spellcasters and archers. Others step forward with two-handed polearms, axes, and greatswords, or wade into melee wielding a blade in each hand to cleave through whole formations.
The Power of Battle Rage
In the furnace of battle, pain and blood ignite a warrior's inner fire. Known simply as rage, this resource swells as warriors inflict and absorb punishment. Rather than yielding to exhaustion or bleeding wounds, seasoned fighters channel this combat fury directly into bone-shattering strikes, sweeping whirlwinds of steel, and deafening battle cries that bolster nearby comrades while shattering enemy morale.
A Universal Tradition
Unlike classes tied to specific creeds or elemental patrons, the warrior tradition is universal to every race on Azeroth. Stormwind relies on its disciplined knights and footmen, Ironforge marshals its stout mountain guard, and the Horde rallies around orcish blademasters, tauren braves, and Forsaken Deathguards. Whether driven by honor, territorial defense, or cold coin, those who answer the call of arms form the unbroken backbone of every standing army.
