Wellspring Lake

Wellspring Lake is a serene body of fresh water resting high within the boughs of Teldrassil, situated northeast of Darnassus. Fed by natural springs originating from deep within the World Tree, its waters feed the winding Wellspring River. Once a peaceful retreat for night elf fishermen, the lake's shores have fallen prey to the growing corruption unsettling Teldrassil's wildlife.

Nestled beneath the canopy between Darnassus and the Oracle Glade, Wellspring Lake was long cherished by the Kaldorei as a quiet haven for fishing and contemplation. Its clear waters originate from subterranean springs running through the colossal boughs of the World Tree, which then drain northward through the Wellspring River. In recent times, however, an insidious blight has begun to seize the surrounding wilds. Aggressive spiders, prowling nightsabers, and agitated timberlings now roam the banks, making what was once an idyllic pond a treacherous place for unwary travelers.
