Sunnyglade

Sunnyglade was once a wealthy, prosperous human settlement belonging to the kingdom of Stormwind during the First War. Devastated and eventually abandoned as the front lines collapsed, the ruined settlement now languishes under the dark influence of the Twilight's Hammer cult.

Fall of a Golden Town

Before the First War tore southern Azeroth apart, Sunnyglade was celebrated for its wealth and comfortable prosperity. That peace was violently shattered when the Old Horde invaded. Orc raiding parties attacked the town and enslaved its surviving residents, leaving only a lone wizard's tower intact to study the arcane arts of human conjurers. Though Stormwind forces mounted an effort to rescue the captive peasants and rebuild the settlement, the surrounding Riverglades were steadily swallowed by the advancing Horde. Deeming the outer province lost, Stormwind's commanders eventually withdrew their resources to defend the homeland, leaving Sunnyglade to ruin.

A Blighted Refuge

Today, Sunnyglade lies far beyond the safe borders of Stormwind's reestablished realm. While the iconic stone mage tower remarkably weathered the First War and the years of abandonment that followed, the peaceful township around it is gone. Instead, the secluded ruins have been occupied by zealots of the Twilight's Hammer cult, who turn the once-prosperous valley to their own sinister designs.
