Before the Third War, the monastery served as a center for learning and enlightenment for Lordaeron's priesthood. The eastern cloisters housed vast archives of religious thought, historical records, and arcane treatises. When the Scarlet Crusade fortified the monastery against the Scourge, they retained these repositories, turning the quiet halls into an armed redoubt. Today, beastmasters run tracking hounds through the courtyards while battle-mages patrol the shelves, guarding historic volumes like the Compendium of the Fallen and ancient research on the Titans against outsiders.

Breaching the Library requires navigating past Houndmaster Loksey in the Huntsman's Cloister, whose trained hounds sniff out infiltrators seeking passage into the inner chambers. Beyond the Gallery of Treasures lies the Athenaeum, overseen by Arcanist Doan. A formidable mage who wields devastating fire and protective sorcery, Doan studies in isolation, fiercely defending the Crusade's hoarded knowledge from any who venture into the heart of the complex.
