Arcanist Doan

Arcanist Doan is a master human mage residing within the Athenaeum of the Scarlet Monastery's Library wing. Formerly an associate of the Silver Hand who assisted in forging the legendary Ashbringer, he now serves the Scarlet Crusade as one of its most lethal arcane specialists and guardian of key crusade archives.

Before the Scarlet Crusade turned inward and zealous, Arcanist Doan walked among the Knights of the Silver Hand. During the Third War, he met with Highlord Alexandros Mograine and other founders at Southshore. When Mograine revealed a shadowy crystal taken from an orc warlock during the Second War, Doan observed its unnatural ability to absorb holy energy. Joining his arcane insight with the holy magic of his peers, Doan helped cleanse the void crystal into radiant light, forming the heart of the weapon known as the Ashbringer.
