Owl Wing Thicket
Owl Wing Thicket is a rugged cluster of caves and stone roosts in southern Winterspring. It is heavily populated by berserk, moontouched, and crazed owlbeasts that prowl the snowy crags. Deep within, ancient night elf altars preserve sacred knowledge about the origin of these creatures and their connection to the moon goddess Elune.
Sanctuary of the Moonkin
Carved into the snowy highlands south of Everlook, Owl Wing Thicket serves as one of the densest nesting grounds for Winterspring's wild owlbeasts. Long ago, night elf caretakers revered these creatures as sacred guardians blessed by Elune. Ancient shrines and moonstone altars are still tucked among the cavern overhangs, watched over by the lingering spirits of the Guardians of Elune. Today, however, many of the beasts have succumbed to madness, lashing out at travelers who trespass upon their holy hollows.
