Helm's Bed Lake

Helm's Bed Lake is a frozen body of water nestled in the southeastern hills of Dun Morogh. A maintained hole in the thick ice provides crucial fresh water to local mountaineers and travelers. However, the surrounding shoreline has become perilous due to prowling wildlife, encroaching troggs, and hostile Dark Iron infiltrators.

Helm's Bed Lake sits quietly beneath a thick sheet of winter ice in southeastern Dun Morogh. Local dwarves keep an opening chopped through the frost to draw clean, fresh water. While crossing the frozen expanse is stable enough, lingering near the banks has become increasingly risky. Wild beasts wander the edges, displaced troggs scavenge along the ridges, and a cell of hostile Dark Iron dwarves has commandeered an abandoned lodge just south of the water, aggressively ambushing any travelers who pass through.
