Gates of Ironforge

The Gates of Ironforge serve as the monumental main entrance leading travelers from the snowy mountain vales of Dun Morogh into the dwarven capital. Carved directly into the sheer stone face of the mountain, they are guarded inside by a colossal statue of High King Modimus Anvilmar.

Approached by climbing the winding, fortified ramp ascending from central Dun Morogh, the Gates of Ironforge present an imposing facade visible across much of the snowy lowlands. Beyond the massive portal, visitors enter the city proper, greeted immediately by an enormous stone statue honoring High King Modimus Anvilmar—the legendary ruler who united the dwarven clans before the War of the Three Hammers. Passing through these gates leads directly into the bustling commercial district of the Commons.
