Firewatch Ridge
Firewatch Ridge is a high volcanic bluff in the northern reaches of Searing Gorge, serving as a primary encampment for the Dark Iron dwarves. Looming directly above the vast excavation known as the Cauldron, the ridge is heavily fortified by dwarven sentries, mechanical golems, and nesting fire spiders. To the northwest, an ominous cave system reveals an entrenched presence of the Twilight's Hammer cult.
A Scorched Vantage Point
Perched above the industrial devastation of the Cauldron, Firewatch Ridge functions as a critical staging ground for the Dark Iron clan's operations in Searing Gorge. Dwarven guards, engineers, and molten golem creations patrol the crags, fiercely defending their foothold alongside venomous flame spiders native to the smoldering rocks. Its elevation provides the Dark Irons an unobstructed view of the surrounding ash plains, ensuring early warning against rival incursions from Ironforge or the Thorium Brotherhood.
The Shadow of the Cult
Tucked away in the northwestern reaches of the ridge lies an underground cave network claimed by the Twilight's Hammer. These cultists operate in the shadows of the Dark Iron encampment, conducting dark rituals and harboring powerful elite zealots beneath the rock. Their proximity to both the Dark Iron infrastructure and Blackrock Mountain reflects the pervasive, insidious reach of elemental and apocalyptic cults within the fiery heart of the Searing Gorge.
