Cape of Stranglethorn

South of the ancient colosseum of Gurubashi Arena, the dense jungle gives way to the coastline known as the Cape of Stranglethorn. Dotted with crumbling troll settlements like the Ruins of Jubuwal and the Ruins of Aboraz, the cape has long since slipped from imperial Gurubashi control. Today, its beaches, coves, and jungle clearings host a chaotic mix of dangerous predators, murloc encampments, and rival pirate crews warring over trade routes and buried plunder.

The dominant power along the cape is the Blackwater Raiders, led by Baron Revilgaz and Fleet Master Seahorn from the pirate city of Booty Bay. Carved directly into the cliffs of the southern bay, this neutral harbor connects the Eastern Kingdoms to Kalimdor via steamships to Ratchet. However, goblin control remains precarious. The Bloodsail Buccaneers operate along the southern shoals and outer islands, raiding supply lines and openly scheming to overthrow Booty Bay and seize total dominion over the South Seas.
