Bough Shadow

Bough Shadow is a secluded grove tucked away in the far northeastern corner of Ashenvale, east of Forest Song. It centers around a colossal Great Tree rooted over an ancient portal leading directly into the Emerald Dream.

Bough Shadow houses one of the rare Great Trees grown from a cutting of the World Tree, Nordrassil. Planted long ago by druids following Fandral Staghelm, its roots plunge deep into the earth around a natural crossing into the Emerald Dream. Today, the tranquil yet imposing grove is heavily guarded by the Green Dragonflight. Emerald drakes such as Phantim and Dreamstalker circle above the canopy, while patrols of Emeraldon dragonspawn and oracles keep a vigilant, unyielding watch over the swirling green portal at its base, turning away any mortal who approaches unbidden.
