Balnir Farmstead
The story
The Balnir Farmstead is a derelict estate in eastern Tirisfal Glades, northeast of the Ruins of Lordaeron. Once renowned for raising the famed white horses favored by Lordaeron's royal family, the lands now lie ruined and infested by wandering Scourge. Today, the estate stands as a somber monument to Prince Arthas Menethil's early life and the site where he claimed his undead steed.
For generations, the Balnir family bred the legendary white stallions of Lordaeron from their homestead in the rolling hills of Tirisfal. As a boy, Prince Arthas Menethil frequently visited the farm to escape royal court life, befriending the young Jarim Balnir. It was here that Arthas assisted in the foaling of the colt he named Invincible. Years later, after a tragic riding accident claimed the steed's life, Invincible was laid to rest in the soil of the farmstead upon Arthas's personal request.
