Quest · Zephras Isle · Level 1
Harmony in Balance
Harmony in Balance is an early rite of duty given to fledgling adventurers on Zephras Isle by Rorian the Dayseeker. It tasks the player with culling juvenile vuldren in Thendal Grove to preserve the natural equilibrium of the island. Through this mundane necessity, novices learn how sensitive local beasts are to the shifting magical currents around them.
Quest text
We live in times of great uncertainty for our people. We face unprecedented challenges that may require bold solutions, but we also must contend with the ordinary and mundane here in Thendal Grove. Take, for example, the recent unsustainable rise in the vuldren population.
The vuldren are a vital part of our ecosystem. However, imbalances must be corrected to maintain the delicate harmony that all creatures in Thendal Grove share.
Head east and cull some of the vuldren there.
Progress
As unsavory as it is to need to cull living creatures, this type of guiding hand is needed to avert disaster in our homeland. This is an important lesson for one such as yourself to learn.

Thank you for your service to Zephras, young adventurer.
The vuldren are typically quite docile, but the animals that call Zephras home can sense when the magic on the winds is out of balance, which can lead to dangerous and unpredictable behavior if left unchecked.
