At Home in the Shadows
"At Home in the Shadows" is an introductory rogue quest on Zephras Isle. After aiding Rorian the Dayseeker in Thendal Grove, budding rogues are directed to read a summons and meet their local class mentor, Akeri Duskblade. The quest marks the moment young rogues transition from general village chores to serious stealth and combat training.
Quest text
While you were away dealing with our vuldren problem, our resident rogue trainer--Akeri Duskblade--has requested to speak with you. He left this note, so read that first, then seek him out inside the watchtower, here in the village.
He's a shady fellow, but then again, so are you. I think you'll get along well.

I almost did not hear you approach me, young rogue.
Almost.
Almost won't be good enough when you leave Thendal Grove. You must be a slender blade, silent and steady. Ever vigilant and ever mindful of your surroundings. You might have what it takes to survive the dangers of Zephras. You also might end up with your throat slit in a ditch. Ultimately that's entirely up to you.
Speak with me again if you wish to take your next steps.
