Devourer of Souls

Devourer of Souls is an introductory step in a Forsaken warlock's journey to summon and bind a succubus. Directed by Carendin Halgar in the Undercity's Temple of the Damned, the practitioner must confer with his assistant, Godrick Farsan, to learn how to lure such a creature from the Twisting Nether. The ritual demands an irresistible stimulus: the hearts of pure and loving mortals.

A succubus is a devourer of souls, destroyer of hearts, tempter of men. A creature of profound evil and of singular mind.

It cannot be brought into our world without a stimulus.

Thus we use its own strength against it. With the hearts of good men, pure men, loving men, the succubus will be unable to resist, and will cross into our world. Then you can dominate it, and make it your own.

Speak with my assistant, Godrick Farsan, within the Temple. He will help you find your bait.

You were sent by Carendin? Friend, then.

Do not think light of me because my sight is gone. I see things that lie behind now, with clarity I had never known. What I once thought a curse, is now a boon.
