Royal Historian Archesonus
Royal Historian Archesonus is a dwarven scholar serving King Magni Bronzebeard within Ironforge's High Seat. Renowned for her scholarly works documenting recent catastrophes in the northern human kingdoms, she also directs research into ancient dwarven tragedies, notably the scorched remains of the Dark Iron kingdom.
Chronicler of Catastrophe
Stationed steps from King Magni Bronzebeard's throne in the High Seat, Royal Historian Archesonus maintains historical records on behalf of the Ironforge crown. Her academic gaze extends well beyond the Khaz Modan mountains. She authored 'The Fall of Lordaeron and the Scouring of the Eastweald' as well as 'On Plagues, Curses, and Blights,' tracking the horrific collapse of humanity's northern realm under the Scourge. Rather than hiding from dark histories, Archesonus approaches disasters methodically, seeking to record the truth of ruinous magic and political collapse.
The Ashes of Thaurissan
In addition to her texts on Lordaeron, Archesonus oversees inquiries into the War of the Three Hammers and the catastrophic destruction of the city of Thaurissan. Seeking recovered relics and charred tablets from the Burning Steppes, she enlists adventurers to search the Smoldering Ruins of Thaurissan. For Archesonus, understanding the cataclysm that scorched the Burning Steppes and bound the Dark Iron clan to the Firelord is vital statecraft—ensuring the Bronzebeard kingdom remembers exactly what sorcery and desperation can unleash.
