Parqual Fintallas

In life, Parqual was a respected human scholar of Lordaeron who knew all there was to know of the kingdom, immersing himself in historical texts. When the plague of undeath struck, Parqual was among the many citizens slain and raised, only to eventually break free under Lady Sylvanas Windrunner. While the Forsaken largely embrace cold pragmatism and turn away from their former lives, Parqual retains his scholarly passion and pleasant manners, still seeking enlightenment, though of a different nature than in life.

Parqual dwells among the bubbling vats and alchemists of the Apothecarium in the Undercity. Despite his macabre surroundings, he remains an invaluable font of knowledge regarding Azeroth's history. When adventurers undertake rigorous intellectual trials—such as the elusive 'Test of Lore'—they are directed to Parqual, who sends them to the Scarlet Monastery's library for a book and then puts a question of his own to them.
