Chief Archaeologist Greywhisker

Chief Archaeologist Greywhisker is an emissary of the dwarven Explorers' League stationed in Darnassus outside the Temple of the Moon. Sent from Ironforge across the sea to northern Kalimdor, he seeks to uncover ancient history and coordinates dwarven field research throughout the region. Currently, he is preoccupied with gathering field reports and tracking lost colleagues operating in Darkshore.

A Dwarven Scholar in Darnassus

While it is unusual to find an Ironforge dwarf nestled high in the boughs of Teldrassil, Chief Archaeologist Greywhisker represents the far-reaching ambitions of the Explorers' League. Having traded the lecture halls and museum vaults of Ironforge for fieldwork in Kalimdor, he can be found standing outside the Temple of the Moon in Darnassus, conferring with local night elf scholars such as Tarelvir. Greywhisker's academic lectures back in the Eastern Kingdoms famously touched upon ancient lore and primordial entities like the Wild God Agamaggan, and he is eager to see what ancient secrets the night elves' ancestral lands might hold.

Eyes on Darkshore

Greywhisker's primary role in Kalimdor is to oversee dwarven excavations and keep tabs on expeditions scouring ancient ruins along the coast. Unfortunately for the chief archaeologist, field research in unexplored lands comes with distinct perils. He relies on passing travelers to establish communication with prospectors stationed across the sea in Darkshore, anxiously awaiting news from dig sites and hoping his colleagues haven't succumbed to the dangers lurking among ancient ruins.
