Baron Aquanis

Baron Aquanis is a powerful water elemental of the flooded Moonshrine Ruins in Blackfathom Deeps, where the Twilight's Hammer has made its lair. He rises from the deep water when someone disturbs the ruins' Fathom Stone. The shamans of the Earthen Ring have long thought him a corrupted elemental power, and they suspect the cult is behind it.

Submerged beneath the flooded halls of the Moonshrine Ruins, the Fathom Stone lies right under the noses of the Twilight's Hammer cultists who now occupy the ruins. Inside it is a fathom core, a device that, properly read, tells the history of all elemental activity around it. Je'neu Sancrea of the Earthen Ring sends Horde adventurers to recover the core, and disturbing the stone draws Baron Aquanis up from the depths.
